Bring Yoga to Bed: Stretches for Tension Release and Blissful Sleep

No time for yoga class? Make your time on your Happsy mattress peaceful, relaxing and rejuvenating by starting your bedtime routine with 3 easy and rewarding stretches.

1. Thread the Needle Pose

Lying on your back, cross your right foot over your left knee. Clasp your hands behind your left thigh and gently pull your leg in towards you, keeping your upper body relaxed. Hold for 15-30 seconds then repeat on the other side.

2. Reclined Twist

Lying on your back, bring your right knee up to your chest. Slowly let your left-hand guide and lower it across your body while turning your head and extending your right arm to the right. Hold for 15-30 seconds then repeat on the other side.

3. Modified Savasana

Lying on your back, place the soles of your feet together and let your knees drop towards the bed. Place your arms, palms up, by your sides, keeping your shoulders back and your chest open or, place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly, whichever feels more comfortable Close your eyes and inhale through your nose while slowly counting to four, then exhale while counting back down to one. Continue for as long as it takes you to feel fully relaxed.
